A taste of things to come

Yup..it's our first head injury.

I'm not exactly sure what happened as I was in the front of the house with the other boys.  I can only speculate that Ian was running/walking into the living room and tripped over a toy (can you believe that?? something on the floor for someone to trip over??) and hit his head on the solid oak coffee table. I heard Ian scream and I knew it was a "hurt" cry/scream.  So I ran and checked him out..didn't see anything until about a minute later when I turned him over and saw "the wound".  I yelled for Mike to come down to help me and we both decided it wasn't deep enough for a trip to the emergency room.  A little bandage and neosporin was all it took.

This morning we took off the bandage and took a look at it.   It looks a lot better than it did last night.  We are going to have a huge bruise for quite a while with this one!  Thank goodness we have another 3 weeks before bluebonnet pictures!

I though warmer weather was here to stay but we were surprised to wake up Sunday morning with 5-6 inches of snow on the ground!  It was 70 degrees on Friday and it will be in the 70's again today and tomorrow with the rest of the week in the high 60's.  Gotta love this Texas weather.  I'm so over snow that I refused to take pictures of it yesterday!

Poor little guy. When we had our first injury, I actually needed to lie down for a minute, as I feel light-headed. For some reason, blood coming out of a head is sooo much worse than a knee, elbow, etc. Hope he's feeling okay! P.S. I am sooo with you and your snow comment... I'm Done With It!!!

Yep, boys and head injuries. It's a long lasting love affair apparently. Cooper is a lot more prone to them than any other of my boys. Always before pictures, too. Glad it wasn't too serious!

Wah! I so miss the bluebonnets! Okay, the pic on your side bar of all 3 crying totally made me laugh.

I'm glad his head was just fine. Boys! I think I should start taking a weekly tally of the injuries we go through...

How is it that boys are so susceptible to smack-in-the-middle-of-the-forehead injuries? Our He-Twin was the KING!

Love your blog...popping over from Multiples and More, and happily now following!
