Wow - it's hard to believe that we made it through the first year. Look how far they've come.
Logan was the first man out weighing in at 4 lbs 4 oz at 7:45 a.m.
Travis was next in at 4 lbs 2 oz at 7:46 a.m. He had a few problems right away, but he quickly recovered thanks to the wonderful NICU nurses at Baylor Frisco.
Then came Ian in at a whopping 5 lbs 6 oz at 7:46 a.m.
We've gone through an enormous amount of diapers, formula and wipes. The diapers and wipes will continue, but now we move on to milk. How much will we use - we will find out very shortly. I'm sure I'll be saving money now even if we go thru a gallon of milk a day. I made my last purchase of formula last week and it was a bit sad knowing that the boys are moving on to another stage of their life. They are no longer babies, but now toddlers!
This year has been such fun. Sure I've had my days where I've been totally spent and didn't want to go to bed for fear of the following day - but all in all it's been a blast. Now the boys are all over the house as they are crawling. Everyone says "watch out when they start walking." Well this isn't my first time at the rodeo so I do know what to expect, but what I don't know what to expect is 3 of them all over the house. But I figure if I can handle three of them crawling in different directions, how much worse can it get?? (stay tuned - I'm sure I'm in for it now).
We wouldn't have stayed sane if it weren't for all the friends and family that have helped during these past 12 months. Pam, Mike's Mom, spent the first few weeks with us during the night and Mike and I would take turns (along with Pam) with the feedings and then continued to do that for about 4 nights a week until the boys were 3 months old. Dad, Bev, Bob and Brenda showed up right after the boys came home to help!! Thought we were going to kill Aunt Brenda with the 2 and 5 a.m. feedings but she survived. My dear friend, Robin, spent Sunday nights with us and did all the feedings in the middle of the night so that Mike and I could get a good nights sleep. Then there were several friends that came by during the first three months and helped with feedings and diaper changes. I had several people from my "mommy forum" at DAM or DFWAM's come by and drop off meals for the first few weeks - WOW what a life saver - a big thank you to Ms. Chantel for setting up the casserole crew!! She was a mama to 6 week old twins when she came by and dropped off the very first meal. We are hoping to have a BBQ in July to thank everyone that helped out!
Happy Birthday Logan, Travis and Ian. Momma, Daddy and Lauren love you all so very much. We are so blessed to have good little boys like you to hang with us all day long!!

Happy birthday boys!!! And congrats to mom and dad too - It is a big accomplishment to make it through that first year relatively unscathed!
